After what has been, frankly a very depressing two weeks I had some very good news today. The client that expressed concerns about our contractual issues that contributed to our recent announcement has formally retracted their objection and apologised saying:
"...while the initial concern expressed was for the ultimate benefit of both [RKSL Studios] and ourselves. After careful consideration and investigation we find that the precautions taken by [RKSL Studios] were more than adequate to protect the digital content covered in our contract. As such we would like to apologise for any distress caused and hope to continue our relationship..."
So the legal aspect are covered. For those interested in the details, well that's private
So I have confirmation from my client that haven't broken any contracts. But I am afraid to say I still have the concern of the guy selling my models. At this moment our plans haven't changed one bit. We still plan to:
We don't plan on releasing anything else just yet. There are several reasons for that. The theft issue is still a major concern. And of course the rapid approach of ArmA2.
We've been in discussion with several other groups in the community and we are working together to set out a frame work to help others protect their IP and author rights. And a community led system to ensure that anyone caught stealing will not be able to profit from the community.
So keep checking back and we'll post more info when we have it.
All the best

I am vitually out of Arma, although I do odd bits but cant get enthusiasm and I think others in the community need to see that you have been through some of the toughest situations a addon maker can go though.
Good luck with how you progress, and maybe we may talk in future abotu old times (was FLK really that long ago??)
