The "Common" Lynx

The trouble with making a model for an aircraft as well used as the Lynx is that every bugger wants their nation's version! But the nice thing about the HAR3 is that it can be used as a base to make other versions from. It’s about 80%+ commonality with every other Naval Lynx out there.

When I started making the HMA8 it was always my intention to make the HAR3. What I didn't expect was the number of requests I'd get for all the other versions of the "Naval Lynx". Some I really don't have time to do but others we're going to try and make.

The original plan was to lump the naval Lynxes (what the hell is the plural of Lynx anyway?) in one PBO. The demand was so high that we've been forced to split it up again. So we're going with 2 PBOs.

  • RKSL-Lynx-RN = Royal navy Versions
    • HAS3
      • 4x Sea Skua
      • 2x Depth Charges
      • 1x M3M .50Cal
      • Unarmed
  • RKSL-Lynx-IN = International Versions
    • SH-14D Royal Netherlands Navy
      • Unarmed*
    • HAS.4(FN) French Aéronavale.
      • Unarmed*
    • BV Navy MK.90
      • 4x Sea Skua
      • 2x FN HMP 400 pods
      • Unarmed

The demand has been such that we couldn't possibly do all the national variations and weapons fits. but once things settle down a bit in the new year we may consider making some more international skins

* Unarmed simply because I cant find what the regular fit should be!

I'm curious where the FLIR would go. There are no obvious mounts for it on the SH-14D

Ok and for the French Navy version:

2 torpedoes Mk46 or MU90,

Sensors:
FLIR, dipping-sonar, radar

As the Lynx is used in SAR role also, could you guys maybe model a winch and script a working winch so you can winch someone up?
That would be really really cool

Bye and looking forward for those birds to land on my HDD ;-).

thanks,

2 torpedos could be a wide range of different ones, at the moment they use the Mk.46 Mod 5 torpedo's, the doorweapon is the FNMAG I believe.

Great addon, should nice to leave an open source for this addon, for own made further developments (I mean only re-texturing) so everyone can make their nation's version.
Looks like this addon can be used in several modern warfare missions.
Again a great model.
