The "Common" Lynx

The Naval Lynx's most prominent combat role was operating the Sea Skua to devastating effect against the Iraqi Navy during the 1991 Gulf War. The Lynx also saw service with British Army forces during that conflict. The HAS.2 naval ASW variant had already taken part in combat operations in British service during the Falklands War in 1982. None were shot down, but three were lost aboard vessels hit by Argentine bombs or Exocets, one on the MV Atlantic Conveyor and one each on board HMS Coventry and HMS Ardent.

Just like the Lynx AH7 used by the Royal Marines the HAS3 variants are used for troop transport as well as anti shipping and anti submarine warfare. We began making them as a compliment to the ships others were making but since the ships are a low priority these aircraft have been de-prioritised too.

The trouble with making a model for an aircraft as well used as the Lynx is that every bugger wants their nation's version! But the nice thing about the HAR3 is that it can be used as a base to make other versions from. It’s about 80%+ commonality with every other Naval Lynx out there.

When I started making the HMA8 it was always my intention to make the HAR3. What I didn't expect was the number of requests I'd get for all the other versions of the "Naval Lynx". Some I really don't have time to do but others we're going to try and provide.

The demand has been such that we couldn't possibly do all the national variations and weapons fits. but once things settle down a bit we may consider making some more international skins

Of course all the usual helicopter features will be present too.
